He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Kayseri. After graduating high school as the top student, he earned his medical degree with honors from Erciyes University in 1995. Between 1995 and 1996, he completed his mandatory service at Kağızman State Hospital. In 2000, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Uludağ University, Department of Ophthalmology.

From 2000 to 2002, he worked as an ophthalmologist at Bartın SSK Hospital, and between 2002 and 2005, he continued his practice at Bursa Şevket Yılmaz State Hospital. In 2002, he established Vizomer Private Eye Health Center, one of the first eye health centers in Bursa. He was among the first doctors in Bursa to apply excimer laser technology. Additionally, he pioneered the use of selective laser for glaucoma treatment in Bursa, significantly contributing to advancements in eye pressure treatment. For many years, he provided healthcare services related to Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) in all private and public hospitals in Bursa. Between 2005 and 2012, he worked at Doruk Private Bursa Hospital, and from 2013 to 2017, he served as the medical director of the Ophthalmology Clinic at Private Jimer Hospital. He is fluent in German and has an advanced level of English.

He is a member of the European Refractive Surgeon Association and specializes in excimer laser and anterior segment surgery. His other areas of expertise include the medical and surgical treatment of retinal diseases (Vitroretinal Surgery), pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus (Pediatric Ophthalmology), and eyelid aesthetics (Oculoplasty).
